Vivianne Delorme is a talented young Canadian opera director, performer and librettist. Delorme's productions are reputed for their liveliness and great dramatic intensity. ​​Her latest creation, Sortilegio, a fantasy opera, made in collaboration with renowned composer Elizabeth Raum and  Giancarlo Scalia, stood out to audiences thanks to its gripping and humorous story, as well as an artful blend of new music and reimagined traditional repertoire. 

In recent years, she has been invited to study productions at the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto (Hansel and Gretel, 2020) and the Metropolitan Opera in New York (La fille du Régiment, 2019). Between 2017 and 2019, she staged three operas for the Mediterranean Opera Studio Festival (MOSF) in Sicily including Il Barbiere di Siviglia, L'elisir d'amore and Don Giovanni. In these productions, she collaborated with brilliant conductors, such as Jonathan Santagada and Leonardo Catalanotto.

Vivianne earned a master's degree in directing from the Verona Opera Academy under the tutelage of world-renowned director, Lorenzo Mariani. As part of her studies, she was invited to do internships in Italy for two opera productions: La Fille du Régiment at Opera di Bologna and leNozze di Figaro at Teatro Sociale di Rovigo. Delorme has over 10 years of experience in opera, theater and musical theater. In addition, her previous studies in theater and music allow her to connect deeply with the characters and to value the artistic and creative contribution of the performers. Delorme has a vivid and vibrant imagination and is dedicated to developing expressive opera productions that transport audiences and showcase the profound essence of stories.
